This is what we have to work with for the mural.

Cooks' Cabin getting a dose of color too!

Blue on the walls, red on the window and door trim, yellow on the fascia boards around the roof, and green for the front door.

Stacy, the retaining wall awaits your magic touch! Kids, plan on making your mark too. Bob the painter recommended the kids handprints going up the wall by the stairs, but we probably wouldn't be able to do that until the stairs are rebuilt.

D-BUGS!

After 3800 miles on the road together, we are still speaking! Our license plate is a vivid memory of everywhere we have been! We're not used to bugs in Arizona, but apparently everywhere else they are alive and well (unless they are smooshed on a windshield or license plate!

Stacy, here's a quick and dirty water color mockup of the mural we talked about putting on the retaining wall at the cabin. The background color is what we are thinking of painting that cabin, so the wall will just flow from the house. The environment around it is small pine trees, etc, so it will fit in. One tree per grandkid, add some flowers, clouds (future children!) and we have a family mural! Should be easy to do with sponges so the kids could add their own green needles. What you do think?

Grandma Grace looked great at the Short Reunion! She had a great time with Stacy and Erica - Erica enjoyed it too, as you can see!
